Synopsis
Masters of the Universe will show for two weeks opening nationwide at the Windsor Theatre Friday, June 5 and continues through Thursday, June 18.
Internationally titled as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the film follows 10-year-old Prince Adam Glenn, who crash-lands on Earth in a spaceship and is separated from his magical Sword of Power. Separated from his royal heritage, Adam spends fifteen years growing up on Earth, completely unaware of his true identity while stuck in a mundane lifestyle. After finding and retrieving the legendary Power Sword, Adam is transported back across the universe to his birthplace.
Upon returning, Adam discovers that his home planet has fallen under the tyrannical and devastating rule of powerful sorcerer Skeletor. To reclaim his family's legacy and save his world, Adam must embrace his true destiny as He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.
He-Man/Prince Adam is played by Nicholas Galitzine. Skeletor, the menacing villain, is played by Jared Leto. Teela, the fearless warrior, is played by Camila Mendes. Man-At-Arms (Duncan), Adam's loyal mentor, is played by Idris Elba. The sorceress is portrayed by Morena Baccarin.
The movie is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence/action (sci-fi combat, weapon clashes, and magical battles), some suggestive material (minor physical humor, tight-fitting outfits, and innuendo), and language (mild swearing and cut-off profanity). The run time is 134 minutes.
